Way to Go Enhancement Team!
Kudos to the Enhancement Team and all their helpers and
"supermen." Thanks to their hard work (they
were preparing
for this event for months) the Ramada sale raised close
to $3,900, which will go toward enhancing EE. Special
thanks to Marian Mundale for heading up the effort.
Thanks also to all the EE residents who donated items
and who shopped the sale. Hope you got some treasures!
Hospitality Event
Get ready for some great home-cooked comfort food with a
bit of nostalgia. Mom's Diner is the theme of the
hospitality event in the Ramada on March 16.
Your $8 will bring you homemade meatloaf, mashed
potatoes (real potatoes), gravy, vegetables, apple pie
and a few other surprises. Included in the $8 is your
choice of our favorite punch, beer, wine and soft
drinks. Social time: 4:30PM / Dinner: 5PM. We'll also
have some lively entertainment in the form of Karaoke,
provided by EE residents Gene & Donna Green. So, warm
up those vocal chords, muster up some courage and be
ready to "show your stuff"!
No reservations required.
EE Home Tour
Get a peek at your neighbors' lovely homes. On Sunday,
March 26th from 1-3 p.m. you'll have a
chance to tour some of EE's interesting homes and find
ideas for decorating your own. Decorating styles range
from traditional to modern, so there's something for
everyone's taste. A wine and cheese party at the Ramada
will follow the tour. Tickets are $15 each or two for
$25 and may be purchased at the March 16th Hospitality
event or by calling Melodye Cooke (336-8844), Jane
Ellingson (625-7782) or Louise McCabe (445-6237).
Tickets are limited, so buy one soon.
Artisans' Excursion to Tucson Botanical Gardens
If you are going on the EE Artisans' outing to the
Tucson Botanical Gardens to view the Frida Kahlo
exhibit on Thursday, March 9,
please meet at the Ramada
at 2:15 to carpool. Those not
going, can meet at 1:00 for the regular weekly
gathering.
Eradicating Botanicals
The EE weed spray crew (Tom Cooke & Boyd
Morse) is gearing up for the spring
campaign, being aware that our common areas are
needing attention. As soon as our winds subside to
the point where it is safe to begin, the "spraying
of the green" will start. The crew thanks resident
Bill Pratt for his annual tune-up
of our equipment.
EE Book Exchange
The Book Exchange has been "weeded" and now
has plenty of room for donations! Before you
leave for your other home, consider donating
some of the books you've enjoyed while here!
And please remember to bring back some of
the books you've enjoyed over the summer! The
Book Exchange is available year-round, so
these requests apply to year-round residents
as well. If you have a significant quantity
of books you'd like to donate and would like
someone to get them to the Ramada, please
call Cindy Krantz
(203-8292) to arrange a pickup time.
Community Connect
Confused about your latest Medicare billings? In
need of a dietician's advice about food/medication
interactions? Need transportion? Considering
assisted living? Community Connect (next to CVS
Pharmacy in the Continental Shopping Plaza) is there
with classes, activities and connections to local

No Foolin'--Hazardous Waste Event on April 1
The Green Valley Council ('GVC') hazardous waste
spring collection event is scheduled for Saturday morning,
April 1. Mark your calendar if you can join
the helpers from EE. Gather your items if you've items
